On July 25, we found out he has FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). He's not quite 5 months old. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I didn't like him much at first,

UPDATE: Patches August 4 checkup went well. There still doesn't seem to be any positive symptoms of FIP showing up. There is, however, a new cyst forming on his back. Whether this is a symptom of FIP or a reaction to his vaccinations, we don't know yet. He will go back to the vet again in two weeks (and so will I) and we'll keep a close watch on this cyst. UPDATE: Patches is doing so well, he didn't go for his August 18 check up. I had to go to the vet instead, because I am sick. Patches will go again soon. UPDATE: Patches was doing so well, he was neutered on August 30. He turned 6 months old on September 1. He will still have another FIP test in a couple more weeks. UPDATE: Patches had another FIP test, and it was negative again. So it looks like he's ok! I'm well again too. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers!
